Hotel 1898, located right on the Rambla in Barcelona in the former building of the Philippines Tobacco Company, has all the best facilities required to provide its customers with the quality and comfort they expect and need.

It has three different types of suites and four room categories, all of which are soundproofed and have top-quality finishes and the latest technology. In addition, Hotel 1898 offers seven period rooms, five meeting rooms, a business centre and two libraries that fully adapt to the needs of all the hotel’s customers. To keep fit and relax, customers have access to a gym, an outdoor pool with solarium as well as an advanced spa system and an indoor pool.

The excellent location of Hotel 1898 in the heart of Barcelona, places the best attractions in the city within the reach of its customers. For example, the Plaza Catalunya, the Liceu, the Boquería, La Pedrera and the Casa Batlló, the Cathedral, the port and important museums such as the Picasso and the MACBA.

• colonial suite, with a Pool-Jacuzzi, a balcony and private gardens on la

The Facilities were very good, The location was excellent.

Our room was facing the front of the hotel looking onto the Ramblers,Beautiful room. There was a consent vibration from the underground Rail System . This could be heard all day until they closed in the evening.Very disturbing when you are trying to read! If we stayed there again we would definitely not take any of the rooms on the front of the building.

the hotel is very beautiful in a great location. if you want to feel pampered, definitely stay here.

water in the room would have been nice but other than that, it is a perfect hotel.

This is a very professionally run, beautifully appointed 5-star hotel, without the 5-star stuffiness. The staff was very helpful, and met all requests professionally and helpfully. The roof deck pool, bar and sunning area is a beautiful respite from the noise and bustle of La Rambla.

Though it can't be helped, the Metro runs under the hotel, producing a noticeable, though tolerable, rumble every 5-10 minutes. Street noise from La Rambla itself is noticeable, as well, but the soundproof windows block quite a bit of it.
