The Catalonia Centro is a charming hotel located in the Salamanca district, in Goya street where you will find the best restaurants and boutiques, as well as the most important companies. Opened in 2005, but built in the beginning of the 20th century, the building features a nice brick facade with glass balconies, typical of Madrid architecture.

Hotel information

The building, dating back to S. XIX, has been totally refurbished. The architecture of the building is similar to the old houses from that century; the facade of the building is made with face brick and has beautiful views from crystal windows with forged iron grates.
Inside the hotel contains stylish furniture that combines dark colours to contrast with the red decoration.

Food & beverage

In the hotel’s restaurant you can sample delicious dishes all made with fresh seasonal ingredients: 20:00 -22:30
There is also a café-bar open: 11:00-01:00

The 88 rooms are modern and functional with ample facilities with traditional Japanese inspired decoration.

Area information

Opened in 2005, the Hotel Catalonia Centro is located in the elegant district of Salamanca, where you can find the best fashion boutiques for shopping, fine restaurants and the most important venues of multi-national business.

The hotel is also very close to Paseo de la Castellana, a principal avenue with connection to Madrid, giving direct access to the cultural sites.

Friendly staff, clean, modern & comfortable. Most staff spoke english which was good.

For an english speaking visitor, maybe would suggest english channels on Tv as only had sky news!!!

Situation, modern and clean.

The air conditioner was not working properly. I complained, the A/C was checked but still did not worked well.

The hotel is in a convenient location for visits to museums, and it is in a less touristy area of Madrid. The room itself was extremely quiet and dark for sleeping, but also had a nice view.

El hotel estaba muy bien, la situación es muy buena, justo al lado de la puerta del hotel hay una parada de metro y de bus y el barrio muy bueno también con muchas tiendas y sitios para comer. La habitación estaba limpia y todo correcto.

No tenían habitacion con cama de matrimonio y nos pusieron una con dos camas aun habiendo pedido de matrimonio en el momento de la reserva, pero también tuvimos problemas con la reserva que no les habia llegado nada de booking.
