the position of the hotel was very central which made it easy to access a variety of places of interest plus it is very near the metro station. The staff were friendly, let me practice my Spanish and were always happy to help. Breakfast went on nice and late too.

Excellent location.

The breakfast was not a good value for the money: there were no vegetables, no eggs, and there was not any variaty during our stay: same cookies, same sausages, same cheese, same fruits. The mini bar is checked in the evening instead of the cleaning session, so if you are in the hotel between 5 and 6 pm, dont forget to use the "don't disturb" card...

it was close to the city center

i did not like the fact that i had to wait a lot until the room was ready although it was past of 12 o'clock, the check in hour.

location is very good, close to metro and right in the middle of the madrid old town

room is a bit old, but clean anyway; a bit pricey ( i guess standard in madrid is higher)

The location was great.

The room smelled, the bed was uncomfortable, the service for breakfast was poor (just wanted a cup of coffee and was charged 6 euro), advertised was a coffee pot ensuite which there wasn't.

loved the roof balcony we were given with our room on top floor.

price of the breakfast which did not include hot options. hot breakfast was available at extra cost, not value for money.

Yes, but had we known that there was another few Best Western hotels in the vicinity we would have selected the Gran via one.

I emailed to ask if we could have a nice room as we were celebrating our 25-year anniversary. We were given a very nice room on the top floor with a private terrace - too bad it rained the whole time we were there!
