Set on the emblematic Passeig de Gracia, the Eurostars BCN Design is surrounded by exemplary works from the Modernisme movement along with chic shops and cultural centres.

The hotel occupies a period building on one of Barcelona’s main thoroughfares. It has recently been transformed into a contemporary boutique hotel by the Xavier Claramunt Studio of Architecture and Interior Design, filled with state-of-the-art facilities. Rooms are spacious and light, and combine the latest in design with the upmost comfort. The hotel is located a short walk from the city’s heart of Plaça Catalunya (also the centre of the city’s transport network), La Rambla and the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. On your way down you will pass Gaudí’s well-known works of Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.

Area information

The hotel lies on the same street as 2 of the most important examples of the work of Catalan modernist architect, Antoni Gaudí: La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. The city’s Cathedral is only 5 minutes away from the hotel, whilst good local transport networks run to other places of interest (Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Museo Picasso, the Olympic Port, Montjuic and Tibidabo).

Everyone very helpful and friendly, very central.

No area to place toiletries, and plug for bath difficult to use, also no milk for coffee, but great stay. Thank you

I really enjoyed the friendly and personal time that the staff took in getting my room ready for me once I arrived in Barcelona. For a new hotel that has been only open several months, the service is fairly fast and efficent.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, pleasant, and very professional. Best staff I've seen in a long time .. from the manager, to the front desk, to the front door, to the porter ... all top notch .. made the stay!! .. Very quiet and comfortable

Rather than provide normal five star amenities in room a card instructing you to call if you wanted anything was provided. Not convienient, not five star quality. Modern bathrooms are nice but really lacck a place to set travel toiletries

Position, jacuzzi on the 5th floor, design

Just bathroom: even if it was beautiful, it was not usable at all: wash- hand basin was too small and placed inside the room; wc was in front of the bed in a separate room with smoked-glass door (not fitted for shy couples)

The location was perfect - 5 mins from Place Catalunya. Room was very retro and modern. Air condidioning excellent. Completely sound proof. Staff were very helpful with maps etc. Very large comfortable double bed. Plenty of storage space.

Not having a seperate bathroom was a bit strange. Didn't bother us but may bother some people. Just a frosted glass door for the toilet and same for the shower. Room sizes vary a lot and I think the price should reflect this. We paid the same price for a room half the size as our friends rooms (with no bath)!

The location is perfect. Our room had a small balcony overlooking Passeig de Gracia, which I didn't see listed as an amenity, so it was a nice surprise. The staff spoke English and were very professional and helpful. Also, I loved the look of the room. Very modern and chic.

There was only one tv channel in English (cnn news).
